Charlie Parish

Lead Pastor

Pastor Charlie is a former full time missionary to the country of Panama. He has a passion for the Great Commission of Christ and teaching through books of the Bible verse by verse. He has a Masters of Divinity degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.  Charlie is married to Lacy, his wife and they have five children; Andy, Lincoln, Abel, Luke, and Haven.

J. Brett Fortenberry

Associate Pastor of Families & Youth

Before entering full-time ministry, he worked for five years as a counselor and advocate in the addiction recovery field.  Brett holds a bachelor’s degree in Christian Studies from Truett-McConnell University and is pursuing a master’s degree in Theology and Counseling.  He is joyfully married to Rebeca, the love of his life, who is from São Paulo, Brazil, and a graduate of Word of Life Bible Institute. Together they bring a heart for serving the youth and families of Foothills Community Church.

Ashley Cash 

Church Administrator 

Ashley works in the FCC church office, Monday thru Thursday 8:00AM-4:00PM.  Ashley                                             manages the church office responsibilities, supports the pastoral staff and manages the daily                                                                                             business at Foothills Community Church.  Ashley and her daughter are also members at FCC.

Chip Doster

Church Elder

Chip Doster has been a member of Foothills Community Church since July of 2018. He serves as an Elder at FCC, an Adult Bible Study teacher, and a member of the landscape team. He has previously served at FCC as a Deacon and on the church's Personnel Committee. He also leads a weekly Men's Zoom Bible Study associated with East Cobb Men's Fellowship. Chip previously served as a Deacon at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Marietta.  Chip has been married to his wife Linda for 46 years. They have two sons and two grandchildren. Linda serves at FCC as a Children's Bible Study teacher, in the Nursery, and she assists with the Kingdom Kids Choir. Chip retired after a 33 year career with Delta Air Lines as a Flight Superintendent in Flight Control. Besides loving the Lord, his family, and friends, Chip is passionate about bass fishing and Georgia Bulldogs football. 

Jim Harvard

Church Elder

Jim Harvard is a Georgia native who returned to North Georgia after retiring from the United States Air Force.  He and his wife, Pamela, have been married 46 years and have two grown children and six grandchildren.  

Brian McCarthy

Church Elder

Brian McCarthy has been married to his wife, Heather, since 1996 and together they are the grateful parents of seven children. Throughout his life, Brian has been committed to serving both his community and the church. He previously served as a firefighter and has faithfully ministered in various church roles including deacon, youth pastor, bi-vocational associate pastor, and senior pastor.
Today, Brian continues to serve the local church as an elder, where his passion is shepherding God’s people through the faithful teaching of Scripture. He deeply values time with his family, studying the Word of God, and equipping others through biblical instruction. His desire is to see Christ honored and the church strengthened through sound doctrine and loving leadership.
